Docs Booking
The booking page
Put the booking widget on any page with a block or a shortcode, and what clients see in the three steps, on the confirmation and in My Account.
The setup wizard creates a page called "Book an appointment" with the booking widget on it. You can also put the widget on any other page, as often as you like.
Adding the widget
| Where | How |
|---|---|
| Block editor | Add the Salon booking block (search for "salon" or "booking"). It can be wide or full width, and can start on one service or category like the shortcode. |
| Shortcode | [logicweft_salon_booking] in any page, post or widget area. |
| Elementor | The Salon booking widget. See Elementor. |
The shortcode can start the client on one service or one category:
[logicweft_salon_booking service="123"]
[logicweft_salon_booking category="colour"]
service is the service's product ID, category the slug of its product category.
The widget takes on your theme's fonts by default and sizes itself to the space it's given, so it works in a narrow column as well as a full-width page. Its colours, shapes and fonts are set under LogicWeft Salon → Appearance.
What clients see
1. Services
Services grouped by category, each with its length and price. Clients add one or more services to a basket, and the add-ons allowed on each. The basket shows the total time and price as they go.
2. Stylist and time
Anyone comes first, then your stylists who are bookable online. Below, a week strip with the days that have free time and a grid of start times. "Next available" jumps to the first free day. With several services, the times are for the whole basket, back to back.
3. Confirm
The client enters a name and phone number (email is optional), any notes, and how they want to pay if you offer a choice (see Payments and cancellations). Your booking policy is shown above a tick box they must accept.
Clients don't need an account. If they're logged in, the booking is linked to their account.
Before the booking is saved, the time is checked again, so two clients can never take the same slot.
The confirmation
After booking, clients see the details with:
- Add to calendar: an .ics file for Apple Calendar, Outlook and others, and an "Add to Google Calendar" link;
- a link to reschedule or cancel, while your cancellation window allows it.
The same calendar links appear on WooCommerce's order received page. A client with an email address also gets a confirmation email (see Emails).
Note: The Google Calendar link sends nothing until the client clicks it. Then their browser opens Google Calendar with the service, time, salon name and address in the link.
My Account
Clients with an account get an Appointments tab in WooCommerce's My Account (you can rename its address under LogicWeft Salon → Settings → Booking → My Account endpoint). It shows:
- Upcoming appointments, with Add to calendar, Reschedule and Cancel while the cancellation window allows it. After that, it says to call the salon.
- Past visits, with Rebook and a link to the order.
- Book new appointment, and Rebook last visit with the stylist they saw last. Rebooking opens the booking page with the same services and stylist already chosen. Turn this off with Show "Book again" in Booking settings.
A guest booking shows up in My Account once the client is linked to the account.
QR codes in the salon
LogicWeft Salon → QR codes has two codes to print, each as an SVG download:
- Book your next visit: opens the booking widget on its own page. Put it on the counter or the mirror.
- Join the queue: opens a page where walk-ins enter their name, mobile number, a service and a stylist (or "Anyone available") to join the walk-in queue. Their phone then shows their place in the queue and the estimated wait, with a Check again button. Turning the walk-in queue off under Settings → Operator App closes this page. See Front desk.
