Docs Booking
Payments and cancellations
Let clients pay in full online or pay at the salon, choose which gateways they see, and set your cancellation window and policy wording.
Every booking is a WooCommerce order, so payments go through the gateways you already use, and the money shows up in WooCommerce's reports like any other order.
How clients can pay
Under LogicWeft Salon → Settings → Payments:
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Full prepayment | On | The client pays the whole amount online when booking. |
| Pay at the salon | On | The client books now and pays at the visit. |
| Gateways for bookings | None ticked | Which of your enabled WooCommerce gateways are offered for bookings. None ticked means all of them. |
With both on, the confirm step asks Pay now or Pay at the salon, with Pay now chosen first. With one on, there's no question. If neither can be used (for example, no allowed gateway is enabled), the booking falls back to pay at the salon so a client is never stuck.
Paying now
After confirming, the client goes to WooCommerce's payment page for their booking order and pays with your gateway. It works the same whether your shop uses the Checkout block or the classic checkout. The order stays Pending payment until the gateway confirms it.
Paying at the salon
The order gets the payment method "Pay at salon" and moves to On hold, so WooCommerce's on-hold email reaches the client. At the visit, the front desk takes the payment in the Operator App: see Checkout.
A booking with nothing to pay is never sent to a payment page.
Counter payment methods
Counter payment methods (also under Payments) are the labels the front desk picks when marking a visit paid: Cash, Card and UPI by default. They are labels for your records and the day close totals; LogicWeft Salon doesn't connect to a card terminal.
Cancellation window
Cancellation window (hours), default 24, is how long before the appointment a client can still reschedule or cancel online, from the link in their emails, the confirmation page or My Account. After that, they see "This booking can no longer be changed online. Please call the salon." Set it to 0 to allow changes right up to the start.
When a client cancels, the appointment is cancelled, its WooCommerce order is set to Cancelled, the reminders are stopped and the client gets a cancellation email. Refunds for prepaid bookings are made in WooCommerce as usual.
Policy wording
The confirm step shows, above the tick box the client must accept:
- your Booking policy (Booking settings), or a short general sentence if you leave it empty;
- "Free cancellation up to N hours before your appointment.", when the window is more than 0;
- your Late cancellation wording and No-show wording (Payments settings), if you fill them in.
Important: The late cancellation and no-show wording is text only. The free plugin doesn't charge deposits, late-cancel fees or no-show fees; write the wording to match what you actually do.
